    at

    Free Methodist Centennial Chapel

    Sunday, July 11, 10:30 AM

    Announcements for this weekend:

    _______________________________________________

Our worship today is in-person and on Zoom!

Picnic - Church Picnic is postponed indefinitely because of heat and smoke.

Listening and Learning Opportunity - July 14 at 6:30 pm Christ and Culture from Indigenous Perspective. This video is recommended by the FMCiC; it is a conversation with Jonathan Maracle, an indigenous (Mohawk) Christian. Discussion and prayer to follow. The 2 PM session is cancelled for this week.

Work In Progress - Beginning July 12, the Fellowship Hall will be unavailable for a full two weeks while the flooring is being replaced in the sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. We anticipate worship as usual in the sanctuary each Sunday. All other meetings need to be relocated within the building or elsewhere.

    Praying Together this week:

    • Please pray for the nation of Haiti. Tensions in Haiti have been escalating over the past year with increasing gang violence and kidnappings. Last Wednesday, the president of Haiti, was assassinated in his residence and his wife was also injured. The Haitian Bishop is calling on the Free Methodist Church worldwide for prayer support. Psalm 9:7-10.
    • Let's pray for the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc people and indigenous people of Canada, deeply affected by the finding of 215 children buried on the grounds of the former residential school here in Kamloops. 751 unmarked graves were found at the Marieval Indian Residential School east of Regina. “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
    • Let's pray and keep in mind those facing cancer treatments.
    • Pray for those in the community who have suffered with isolation, including our seniors and those with health conditions. Ask God to show us ways to reach out to those in our community who have needs we can meet.

Sanitizers/Wipes are available throughout this building.
