    Announcements for this weekend:

    ________________________________________________

Operation Christmas Child – Shoe boxes and brochures are available at the Church. Collection date: Sunday, November 22, 2020. If you wish to pack a box online go to packabox.ca

Adopt-A-Family - Our church will be participating in The Salvation Army's Adopt-a-Family program this Christmas. If you wish to give a monetary donation towards this, you can designate "Adopt-a-Family" on your giving envelope before Friday, December 11. Volunteers to help shop for the children's gifts would also be appreciated.

Volunteers - The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers for their food truck which serves the needy in various locations in Kamloops. Volunteer shifts include meal prep (930-12), serving on the truck (12-1:30) and cleaning up afterwards (130-230) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week. If you would like to help out, you can apply online at kamloopssalvationarmy.ca

Independent Store Receipts – We are still collecting receipts from the Independent Store until December 15th. Please, bring in receipts or call to have them picked up.

FMCiC Prayer Summit 4 – “Developing Your Local Church into a House of Prayer” with Doug and Margie Newton, Thursday, November 19, starting 4:00 PM in our time zone. To register for this, go to https://www.fmcic.ca/prayer-summit-registration/

Society Meeting, November 25, 6:30 pm. In-person attendance limited to 40. Provision will be made for people to join via Zoom. Please register your attendance by phoning or emailing the church office

Give the gift of song - We are limited this year in ways to reach out to others but what about the gift of song? Perhaps we could sing Christmas carols outside of long-term care homes and homes of those who can't get out. Please let the office know if you are interested in helping to coordinate such an effort (choosing songs, dates, phoning).

Baker's Care Group is studying The New Testament You Never Knew and meets Thursdays at 2 pm at the church. Newcomers welcome!
