    A Few Announcements

    March 1, 2016
Hi! A few announcements in case you didn't pick up a bulletin Sunday:

There will be a team going to work at the Gleaners in Lumby this Friday, March 4th. It will be a long day and the team plans to leave from the Church at 6:00 AM, so you'll be up before the rooster crows. But it's a most worthy cause - you'll be so glad you went! For more information on what to bring and what it's all about, if you've never been before, call Hugh (250) 376 7851 or Carolyn (250) 461 9823.

New topic at our Wednesday afternoon Bible Study - Linda will lead 'Last Supper Discourses of Jesus' starting with John 14 tomorrow. These studies will lead up to Easter. New members are always welcome to join us! See me (Debbie) in the office or Linda for a copy of the preparation worksheet for each week. (on a personal note, Linda is the very best Bible study leader I've ever had :)

Music:  starting this Sunday (3:30 PM) for 2-3 Sundays, I'll be hosting a Basic Musicianship Class. If you'd like to learn, or brush up on your music reading skills, you're welcome to attend. Worship team members are encouraged to be there.

At 4:00 PM will will begin choir practices to sing Easter Sunday, March 27th. Practices March 13 and 20 as well. It will be fun (no grueling, really difficult pieces) and we really look forward to Easter already. It seems very early this year!

Check out the new pictures in our photo gallery - 'family times' and FM Team Hope ready and geared up to walk at this year's Coldest Night of the Year, fundraiser for New Life Community Kamloops. We raised $1,472.00 by the way, 6th place out of 35 local teams. Yay, team!! I was happy to have my 10 year old granddaughter from Merritt walk with me on the 5 km route!

Pastor Vern is attending Network Meetings in Harrison at the moment but will be back in the office Thursday morning.

That's it for now, hope your week is going well!

    Walking the Jesus Way,
    Debbie
