    COVID-19 Communication, March 15, 2020

    March 12, 2020

The safety and health of people is of great concern in these days, and it is to us at The Free Methodist Church as well. Although there has not yet been a positive test for COVID-19 in Kamloops that we know of, things are changing by the day. For the safety of all, the CLB is recommending the following for the present:

    • If you are sick, please know that it is okay to stay home
    • Please wash your hands regularly. Hand sanitizer is available in the foyer, the kitchen, the washrooms, the hallway between the washrooms, the nursery and the children’s area.
    • Two meters distance is being recommended (two arms length: my arm, your arm). Please consider spacing yourselves in the sanctuary
    • Now for the hardest one: We are asking that we refrain from touching, handshakes, hugs etc to help prevent transmission. People have suggestions for non-hand touch greetings …

We trust that these practices will not be necessary for long, but because we care about you, especially our seniors and those with health conditions, we are asking that everyone take care, and keep praying for one another, for those who are sick, and for our government and health care leaders.
