  • Hi friends,

I'm sure you've been following the news and the directives of the provincial and federal government concerning the current health crisis. The Church Leadership Board has made the following decisions:

We are cancelling Sunday worship services effective immediately, until further notice.
We are working on an online way for us to be inspired (sermon on the website) and pray together (via ZOOM), and will get details to you as soon as possible. For now, email and the church website and Facebook are the ways to connect. Yes, the church Facebook page has been revived; please join if you are a Facebook user. Please remember those who are not on the internet or Facebook. We are working to see that everyone not online capable is contacted by phone both to be notified and to see if they have needs.

Further, as of tonight, we are recommending care groups be cancelled as well. This was a difficult decision to make since the mutual support and connection is so valuable to many, but we want to make every effort towards the health protection of our seniors and vulnerable people.

We hope and pray that we may worship together on Easter Sunday. But we don't know, and will follow what our bishop and government leaders are advocating.

In the meantime, there are 3 ways for you to continue your financial support: You can use the "Tithely" app, a simple download on either Google Play or the Apple Store; you can bring your offering envelope to the church office, or you can do an "electronic funds transfer." I'm attaching a letter from our treasurer, giving instructions on the latter.

Let's pray for one another, for our elderly and those with medical conditions, for health care workers and those who are sick, for our leaders in government, and for those around us afraid and worried.

Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Grace and peace to you all.

    Pastor Shelley
