Spring is in the air... finally! It's a season of hope and new beginnings. To some it may mean spring cleaning and washing the windows so they sparkle. Others get out their flipflops and start updating their warm weather wardrobe. Sports enthusiasts make their way to the golf course, the ball field, the soccer field. Bikers have already been out braving the nippy air on their shiny bikes. And for months, gardeners have been ordering from seed catalogues and designing their gardens and yards for this year.
At our house, as well as some of the above, we are preparing for Grad and Jeremy's short-term Missions trip go Guatemala, both in June. Last week's Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser was amazingly successful and he thanks everyone ... "Your thoughtfulness is much appreciated! You are all amazing people. Thank you for the funds, the laughs, the support, and your prayers, but mostly, thank you for your faith. God is good. I love you all. This trip was a massive chance to take from the very beginning. I needed to raise a lot of money and I prayed for a miracle. The spaghetti fundraiser earned $1,738.00, almost 3x the estimated return rate!! You guys are the miracle. Thank you all so much for what you have done for me, and for what I can do for God."
Thank you, Church Family!
Another sure sign of Spring is our annual Spring Fling! This Wednesday at 6:00 PM, come on over. You're invited to join KIDS CLUB and thei families and friends for a burger, chips and ice cream. Plus lots of fun! This is a wrap-up for Kids Club which will start again in September.
Our Worship Team Workshop was well-attended lastnight by musicians and techs and we started with our usual pizza dinner together. The highlight was Edi's interactive talk on 'What is Worship?' Lots of ideas and participation and Scripture. Thank you, Edi!
