We have just enjoyed a day with special guest, Missionary Rev. Debbie Hogeboom. Debbie is one of the missionaries our Church regularly supports and it was great to listen to her stories and update to the last time she was with us. She was able to share both Sunday morning and Sunday evening after a potluck. What an amazing woman of God and what an amazing life story she has allowed God to orchestrate in far away places - in the the Congo for 30 years and in Kenya for the past 20. Blessings to you, Debbie! Thank you for sharing your time with us.
Our annual Christmas Shoebox campaign is well underway and many boxes went out yesterday to be filled with special things for kids. Your gift-filled shoeboxes help reach children worldwide with God's love. Thanks for participating.
Speaking of Christmas ... SAVE THIS DATE: Friday, December 5th is when our annual Christmas Event has been scheduled.
Yesterday a bluegrass group gave us some toe-tapping tunes! Thanks to Shannon for organizing everyone, and thanks to Sarah for being willing to pick up Jer's mandolin and spend time learning all the chords. We hope to hear more from this fun group.
Next Sunday is World Relief Sunday as well as Thanksgiving so there will be an opportunity to support those in need in other parts of our world.
As well, during the month of October, our Church is collecting non-perishable food items for distribution by the Salvation Army to those in need here in Kamloops. Thank you for caring! Please place your donations in the designated area in the lobby.
Mike and Carolyn have planned a trip to see the Salmon Run for Seniors Wednesday, October 15. Meet at the Church at 10:00 AM and be sure to dress warmly. Either pack a lunch or buy lunch - there are several places along the way. Be sure to let Carolyn or the Church office know if you plan to go.
There are many more announcements that could be mentioned. Just check out the Church Calendar for times and dates of various meetings, Bible Study groups and so on. Have a good week! .... Oh, one more - be sure to check out the great photos of our 80th Anniversary!
