We Support


Missions 

Missions at home and abroad are an integral part of our church and involve many areas. Some examples are:

  • Our church has helped support several career missionaries
  • One of our church members has recently returned home after serving as a career missionary in Papua, New Guinea for Wycliffe Translaters
  • A missionary couple from our church served in Haiti for almost 30 years
  • We support children through International Child Care Ministries
  • People from our church have participated in short-term missions projects -Nicaragua Missions Team, students going to Guatemala, etc.
  • Mike and Carolyn have gone to minister at Child Evangelism Fellowship in Missouri
  • We are actively involved with Samaritan's Purse Christmas Shoeboxes
  • We promote Missions Fest Vancouver and support their Special Projects
  • We receive regular reports from the Mission field including guest speakers

Outreach


We are also involved in the following outreach ministries:

  • Our very own 'Student Cafe' (continental breakfast every Wednesday for 150+ students of Brock Middle School)
  • RIH Chaplaincy - our pastor is a member of the team of local pastors who are available to minister at the hospital
  • The Mustard Seed (formerly New Life Mission) - 'Coldest Night of the Year' and other fundraisers
  • House of Ruth (closed now)
  • Salvation Army (October Food Drive), singing at the Kettle Drives
  • Kamloops Pro Life Society
  • Pregnancy Care Centre of Kamloops -'Formula 4 Hope' Baby Bottle Campaign, other fundraisers
  • International Student Ministries, City Director, Jeff Torrans at Thompson Rivers University
  • Tearfund Canada (formerly World Relief Canada)
  • Haiti Relief Fund
  • 30-Hour Famine - World Vision 
  • Gleaners - run solely on volunteers and donations, this organization gleans crops to produce food for the hungry of the world. A team regularly goes to help at Gleaners in Lumby.
